Falling into Autumn: A Season of Harvest & Reflection

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.

– Albert Camus

Today marks the first day of Autumn. Traditionally, winter is a period of rest and renewal, spring is filled with promise, summer is the time for growth, and autumn is the season of harvest and reflection. After spending the year planning, planting and cultivating your crops, autumn is when you finally get to reap the rewards of your work and begin planning for the year to come. The same is true for life. You’ve spent your lifetime building your assets and making meaningful connections; autumn is the perfect time to evaluate where you are and what your needs are for the future.

Autumn is a great time to ask yourself:

  • When did I last review my estate plan?
  • Do I have a will?
  • Do I have a health care proxy?
  • Do I have a power of attorney?
  • Do I have a trust?
  • Have I funded my trust?
  • Are my assets adequately protected?
  • Have I considered all of my loved ones?

The Herzog Team wishes you a happy and healthy autumn, and we are here for all of your estate planning needs. Click here to schedule an appointment.

Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons.
